Blue Whale is a group of more than 200 growers. It was founded in 1950 so that together we could develop ways of producing and marketing top-quality fruit from our growing areas in South-West France (the Valley of the Garonne, the Tarn, the Aveyron and the Quercy Hills) and also from Provence, the Alps and the Loire Valley.
In the 1960s we were the first to export our apples overseas, as far as Asia. This is the reason we chose an English name, "Blue Whale", to ensure us brand recognition around the world.
France currently accounts for just 30% of our sales and we remain the leading French exporter for apples. While we are certainly proud of our place as leader, we are even more so of what this says about our quality standards.
