Canada Gris

Despite its name, this late variety comes from England.

Presentation

A medium to large sized apple with an irregular shape. Its thick, matt skin is tawny brown over yellow.

When ripe, the fruit takes on a lovely cinnamon colour.

Tasting note

Delicate, soft flesh, yellowy-white or greenish, sweet and scented with a pleasant touch of acidity.

Its smooth flesh is particularly good for cooking: baked or stewed apples and as an accompaniment to meat and game.
